Joseph Levinoff
Joseph Levinoff, a ballet teacher, dancer and choreographer was born in Warsaw. He performed with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and appeared at Radio City Music Hall in an act with Lily Pons. He also choreographed for Danny Kaye and danced in the film “The Goldwyn Follies.”
He was professor emeritus of dance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and had served as the president of Dance Educators of America. Joseph Levinoff passed away in 1984 at the age of 73.
