ACTVITY TIP FOR SPECIAL NEEDS AND YOUNG CHILDREN

I Like To Jump
WARM UP EXERCISE
Instruction: Here is a simple warm-up exercise you and your children can do in the morning.
Follow the instructions below. The third time through the exercise, do not say the words out loud. Let the children “think” the actions and “excitement” of doing the exercise.
ONE FOR THE MONEY (Arms at sides)
TWO FOR THE SHOW (Arms raised half-way up)
THREE TO GET READY (Arms above the head)
AND GO, GO, GO! (Jump up high on each “go!”)
This exercise is similar to the exercise songs you can find on all of my CDs. They are all simple and appropriate for special needs and early childhood classes.
Look for my new CD, “Look What I Can Do!” (formerly, “Listen With Your Ears”) to be released in August 2008.
